Restricting Announcement Searches

N2FE supports two announcement search options:

• Partial prefix match - returns all announcement sets and entries where the beginning of the announcement name matches the entered search value.
• Partial match - returns all announcement sets and entries where the search value can be matched within the announcement name. This is the default behaviour.

By default N2FE will search for announcement sets and entries with a partial match. This option will also render a scrollable list of all available announcements when the announcement search box is opened.

Configuration

Restriction of announcement searches can be enabled in the main N2FE configuration file: /etc/jarvis/n2fe.xml

The restrict_announcement_search flag can be found within the <habitat> XML element:

    "restrict_announcement_search": true
